Maintaining your office trailer is similar to the regular maintenance you keep around your home or office. Though some issues must be serviced by a professional, there are several things you can do to preserve the condition of your building. Avoid some problems and back end charges by following our annual office trailer maintenance checklist.
- Check and replace the air filter every 90 days. In dusty locations, replace every 30 days.
- Clear debris from in front of air intakes.
- Clear debris from under or around your office trailer.
- Check the drain line to ensure that it is sloped away from unit to drain correctly.
- Make sure there is no standing water underneath the building.
- Check ceilings, windows and the exterior for leaks.
- Clean the floor regularly with a broom, mop or vacuum.
- Check and replace light bulbs as needed.
- Rinse the air conditioning coil with water from a hose or an aerosol coil cleaner.
- Clear the roof of any debris, such as fallen leaves or snow.
- Make sure there is at least 6 feet of space around all sides of the trailer, or whatever is required by all applicable codes.
- Inspect the entire building to make sure it is in good working condition.
- Before winter, make sure the plumbing connections and pipes are heat traced and plugged in by a professional plumber.
